The UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Edinburgh are looking for a talented researcher to join the lab of Centre Director Professor Giles Hardingham.
The successful candidate will drive a project centred on the functional interplay between neurons, astrocytes and microglia in the context of Aß and tau pathology. The project will involve the use of established in vivo disease models of ß-amyloidopathy and tauopathy, mice lacking microglia (with and without microglial replacement therapy) and also viral manipulation of cell types (e.g. using chemogenetics).
