The NuBrain Consortium (of which SDRC chair Professor Craig Ritchie and University of Edinburgh’s Dr Graciela Muniz Terrera are co-investigators) are holding a 2-day sandpit event on 14th and 15th May 2020 at the Catalyst Building, Helix Site, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The aim of the sandpit event is to bring together Early Career Researchers (up to 10 years post-doc*), established academics and representatives from industry and charity to develop novel ideas for pilot studies in the area of nutrition and healthy brain ageing. At the end of the event, delegates will have the opportunity to bid for up to £20,000 to fund a pilot investigation of up to 12 months in duration.

Early career researchers who have interests in nutrition and / or healthy brain ageing or related areas are invited to apply to attend the event. The NuBrain steering group will review all applications and invite successful applicants to attend. Travel and accommodation costs will also be covered by the NuBrain consortium.
