Scottish Dementia Research Consortium are pleased to share some exciting short-term projects. These opportunities are particularly suited to early career researchers and have been designed to allow for useful skills development, networking and publications. Researchers with capacity for additional work, especially those whose original research plans have been disrupted by covid-19 are welcome to apply.

Cochrane Dementia are looking for one or two researchers to help with their systematic review work. The successful applicant(s) will work on a review of ‘Accuracy of self-completion questionnaires for diagnosis of dementia’. This review is part of Cochrane dementia’s priority covid-19 response.
The anticipation is that this would be a full-time project over 6-8 weeks. Part time working is possible.
- Joint European Stroke Organisation and European Academy of Neurology Guideline Writing Group
The European Stroke Organisation and European Academy of Neurology are looking for two enthusiastic researchers to help with their guideline on ‘Post stroke cognitive impairment’. The successful applicant(s) will work with an international writing group to produce a high impact guideline.
Experience of systematic review is desirable but not essential.
Short term financial support may be available, if required, to facilitate this work.
